There’s no way to describe the panic of a mother watching her child get grabbed from a store. It happened yesterday, at the Trader Joe’s near Costco in Santa Rosa. Just after 10:30 in the morning, the mother was in the checkout counter, when a stranger grabbed her 4-year old girl yelling “she’s mine” before carrying her out of the store. The Mom followed, yelling for the woman to let her child go, and the suspect did. Local shoppers talked to ABC 7 saying “they’re stunned that something like this can happen.”
Santa Rosa police arrested the suspect on kidnapping charges: 41-year old Tina Ze-Panik was then booked into the Sonoma County jail.
