As President Trump is taking steps to increase deportation across the country, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors wants to strengthen their support for immigrants in this area: they voted last night to further restrict local law enforcement from helping federal immigraion cops. Christy Lubin, the Director of Graton Day Labor, says it’s time that everyone speak up. In the same vein, Sonoma State University, now considered a Hispanic-Serving Instituion, now qualifies for millions in grant money with that designation.
