Government and school officials in San Francisco say they won’t change policies allowing transgender students to use bathrooms that match their gender identities.  A joint statement by Mayor Ed Lee,  School Board President Shamann Walton, and interim Superintendent Myong Leigh calls yesterday’s decision by the Trump administration a, quote, “misguided act that will victimize children most in need of our support.”  The administration reversed an Obama administration directive which the Supreme Court will take up next month.  The Trump administration says the issue should be left up to states.
