Students were sent home early from Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park after a bomb threat was emailed to the principal. Rohnert Park Public Safety immediately responded sending the bomb squad to search giving the all clear after about an hour and a half of searching.
“Principal and staff immediately called 911, got a hold of Rohnert Park Public Safety who responded within literally seconds,” said Cotati-Rohnert Superintendent Robert Haley. “We worked with them to make sure that all of our students were safe.”
By 12:45 PM, all students were sent home. This is the 2nd bomb threat issued towards Rancho Cotate within the past two weeks. Rohnert Park Public Safety is currently investigating. School is expected to resume tomorrow.
