The Bay Area is home to the most-visited unit of the National Park System.  The agency announced this week that more than 19-million people visited the Golden Gate National Recreation Area last year.  That includes nearly two-and-a-half-million at Fort Point and more than a million at Muir Woods.  GGNRA acting superintendent Craig Kenkel says visitors came from throughout the Bay Area and around the world.  The GGNRA covers 83-thousand acres in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties.
