Golden State Takes Care of Business in Dallas

The Warriors played tremendous on both ends of the court while they pushed their win streak to 5 games.

Golden State finished off the 2nd half of back to backs with a beautiful performance in Dallas. The Mavericks were unusually good from beyond the arc tonight. In the 1st half, they made 8 of their 11 three-pointers. Nerlens Noel and Dirk Nowitzki did the bulk of the scoring for Dallas in the 1st half. Golden State once again went on a run and put themselves up (62-50) headed into halftime. Klay Thompson dropped 13 points to lead the Dubs in the 1st half. Both Patrick McCaw and Ian Clark added 10 points apiece through 2 quarters of play. Steve Kerr once again displayed his brilliance as he drew up a game plan to attack the paint. Dallas is without a notable shot blocker and the Warriors took advantage. By the 3rd quarter, the Dubs had outscored the Mavs 40-18 in the paint. Curry added 10 points in the 3rd quarter as he finished with 17 on the night. Klay was solid once again with 23 points on 5-8 shooting from distance. The Warriors rested all of their starters with the game well in hand in the 4th quarter. It was a fantastic game for the Dubs as they shot over 55% on the night. They also held Dallas to 35% as their defense was superb all game long. Ian Clark impressed filling in for Andre Iguodala with 18 points in 28 minutes. Golden State took home an 112-87 victory over Dallas. With the win, the Warrior’s Western Conference lead has grown to 3 games. Plus the Dubs have now won 5 straight games dating back to their contest against Philadelphia.
