Former Bookkeeper Faces Prison Time for Embezzling

A former bookkeeper at Paul Hobbs Winery in Graton is facing about four years in prison for embezzling nearly 200-thousand dollars. Sandra Turner of Cloverdale yesterday was sentenced after pleading no contest in June to felony grand theft and forgery of about 120 checks between 2010 and 2016. Turner’s lawyer said her crime was fueled by a gambling addiction, and she has paid the winery back the money.
