The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is extending the deadline for marijuana businesses to apply for permits.  At yesterday’s meeting, supervisors agreed that by October 1st operators must submit an initial one-page application to avoid land-use fines the county has delayed enforcing.  Complete permit applications are due no later than June 1st, 2018, which officials hope will encourage more companies to submit to the county’s new marijuana regulatory system.  To date, the county has accepted 115 applications, far less than the estimated five-thousand cultivators who already grow pot in the county.
