California’s Poverty Rate is Highest in the Country

Data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows California’s poverty rate is still the highest in the country, with an estimated one in five Californians living below the poverty line, and more could be in the same boat. Scott Graves of California’s Budget and Policy Center says Trump administration proposals could make it harder for more people to be able to support themselves and their families.
