A survey says more than half of California voters are considering moving out of state because of skyrocketing housing costs. According to a statewide poll conducted by UC Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies, 56-percent of voters have considered moving, and 60-percent support rent control. Here in the Bay Area, 65-percent of voters consider the problem of housing affordability “extremely serious.” Of the voters who have considered moving, most are renters and fall in the 30 to 39 age group, followed by voters ages 18 to 29.
