He won an Oscar for Toy Story, he lives in the Sonoma Valley, and now he’s taking 6 months off as the leader of Disney and Pixar animation. John Lasseter says he’s taking a leave of absence: Lasseter wrote a letter to his employees, apologizing for letting them down: all of this after claims of sexual harassment and unwanted advances began to surface. In 2006, Disney purchased Pixar and Lasseter was named the chief creative officer for both. He’s had an incredibly successful career helming both animation studios with Pixar films earning over six-billion dollars at the domestic box office.
