Sonoma County is releasing recordings of all 9-1-1 calls handled during the first five hours of October’s deadly wildfires. According to audio released yesterday, the first 9-1-1 call in the records was made at 7:25 on the night of October 8th by a woman in Kenwood who reported seeing a strange light in the hills near Sugarloaf. Over the next 24 hours, emergency dispatchers managed more than 13-hundred emergencies related to the fires that broke out across the country, burning almost 140 square miles and killing 24 people.
