Two Workers are Recovering From Injuries After a Building Collapsed

Two workers are recovering from injuries after a building collapsed at a Santa Rosa construction site and sending both to the hospital. The incident happened around 12:30 yesterday afternoon at the Habit Burger Grill site on Cleveland Avenue near Coddingtown Mall when the exterior walls buckled and the roof trusses collapsed, trapping the two for a short time under debris. The owner of the construction company contracted to frame the building had no explanation for the accident, but said the incident will likely delay completion of the project past February. The Santa Rosa Building Division and Cal OSHA will conduct an investigation.
