The weather system “La Nina” is likely to have an impact on California’s weather this winter. Mike Halpert with NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center said northern California should expect above-average precipitation during “La Nina” while the southern part of the state should get below-average precipitation. Temperatures are expected to follow a similar pattern. The northern part of the state is likely to receive above-average temps while the southern portion of California will likely be below-normal. The “La Nina” season began in September.
