ESPN’s SportsCenter is set to spotlight the Cardinal Newman High School football team’s fire-affected season. This Sunday’s season premiere of the award-winning “SC Featured” will focus on how the squad coped after the October wildfires ravaged the school campus. The program will further focus on quarterback Beau Barrington and wide receiver Kyle Carinalli, both of whom lost their homes in the Tubbs fire. “Through the Fire” will first air on the seven o’clock Sunday morning edition of SportsCenter and will re-air at eight o’clock Sunday night.
