A federal judge is leaning toward requiring the country’s top immigration cop to testify in a lawsuit over the California’s sanctuary laws. A U.S. Magistrate judge in Sacramento yesterday said his “strong inclination” is to demand ICE acting director Thomas Homan provide four hours of sworn testimony in a lawsuit brought by the Trump administration. Homan would be asked to back up claims that the federal government is suffering “irreparable harm” from three state laws that limit cooperation with ICE agents. The judge said his final decision is coming soon.
