A Rincon valley Charter School student is being rewarded and applauded for creating a video aimed at saving lives. Eight-grader Pavel Karabelov yesterday returned from New York and Connecticut with a first-place prize of one-thousand dollars for producing a video titled “Cars Aren’t Toys” as part of the nationwide Drive2Life Public Service Announcement contest. In addition to the cash, Pavel received the all-expense paid trip back East to work with an Emmy-winning producer to create the life-saving video.
