Nominees are now being sought for an award aimed at protecting California’s environment. Karen Sweet, a consultant with the Sand County Foundation, said the Leopold Conservation Award honors farmers, ranchers, foresters and other landowners in California that help protect the state’s natural resources.
The winner will walk away with a ten-thousand-dollar prize. Nominations must be postmarked by July 13th and mailed to the Sustainable Conservation in San Francisco.
