Parents of students at Novato High School are upset they weren’t immediately told about a school threat. The police department says 18-year-old Adam Frey was arrested last Tuesday. Officers went to the school after hearing about threats Frey made towards his roommate who is a student at another school. While searching Frey’s vehicle in the school’s parking lot, they found rifle ammunition. Parents weren’t notified about the incident until yesterday. The school’s superintendent says he maybe should have notified parents sooner, but an assessment involving administrators, police, private security, and mental health professionals reached a unanimous decision that Frey did not pose a threat to anyone’s safety.
