The annual inflation of the summer dam on the Russian River is underway near Forestville. Inflation began yesterday on the dam that helps supply over 600-thousand people in portions of Sonoma and Marin counties with drinking water. The Department of Fish and Wildlife prohibits fishing within 250 feet of the rubber dam, which will remain inflated until the fall.
