The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors is considering the installation of fire watch cameras across the North Bay to help firefighters respond more quickly to wildfires. Supporters of the cameras say some installed on Bald Mountain in Yolo County captured the County Fire shortly after it sparked and fire officials say they are also successful in Southern California. If approved on August 7th, the cameras could be installed by early October, just days before the anniversary of last year’s North Bay firestorm.
