Santa Rosa’s Kaiser Medical Campus Returning to Normal After Wednesday’s Oxygen Tank Explosion

 

A small explosion caused by a liquid oxygen leak in a tanker truck forced evacuations at Kaiser’s Building 5 in Santa Rosa. Firefighters were called to the Kaiser Permanente North Medical Campus Wednesday afternoon following the explosion. Santa Rosa Assistant Fire Marshall Paul Lowenthal:

 

 

It took them about two hours to contain the leak. The truck driver was taken to a hospital for unknown injuries. Nobody else was reported hurt.

 

 

Building 4 at Kaiser will be open for business today, Building 5 will be closed for further inspections.
