Utah Firefighter Loses Life Battling the Mendocino Complex Fire

A firefighter battling the Mendocino Complex Fire is dead. Cal Fire said last night the circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation, and the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. He was from Utah.

 

 

The blaze, which began July 27th, has burned over 354-thousand acres and remains at 68 percent containment. About 150 homes and 120 other structures have been destroyed, and the fire continues to threaten over one-thousand total structures.
