Firefighters are still battling the massive Ranch Fire in the Mendocino Complex. Cal Fire says it has burned nearly 330-thousand acres as of last night. Containment has improved to 76-percent, with firefighters regaining some ground. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and almost 36-hundred fire personnel are on the scene. Officials say fire activity increased yesterday due to temperatures rising and relative humidity dropping. The River Fire, the smaller blaze in the complex, remains fully contained at 49-thousand-acres.

The Carr Fire, which broke out on July 23rd, has currently burned over 218,000 acres and is 75% contained.
