Lawmakers are rallying to support a net neutrality bill that’s sitting on Governor Jerry Brown’s desk. Senator Scott Weiner says SB 822 would protect everyone who depends on the Internet.
SB-822 is aimed to prevent internet service providers from charging fees for use of certain websites and features as well as stopping service in certain areas. If passed, the bill would become the most comprehensive and strongest net neutrality protection in the nation. The California Senate and Assembly passed the bill last month.
