Sonoma State University Presenting Proposal to Purchase Additional Property for Employee Housing

Sonoma State University is looking to buy property to help increase employee housing in the area. The school next month will present to the board of trustees a proposal to buy a multi-million dollar property that could add about 100 housing units for rent near campus. If approved by California State University trustees, the purchase would be financed with a bond that would be paid back with rent. The purchase would be part of a bigger goal to recruit talent and house half of the students by 2040.
