A Red Flag Warning remains in effect through this morning leaving thousands throughout Northern California without power as a result. PG&E’s power shutoffs to reduce wildfire risks affected more than 17,000 people in the North Bay last night with several thousand in nearby Lake and Napa counties still affected.

PG&E had this to say on their official website regarding a Public Safety Power Shutoff: In response to evolving weather and potential extreme fire danger, PG&E may proactively shut off power for safety to some customers from October 13-15 in 12 counties.

You can check a map of your county to see if you’re affected by this potential power shutoff.

The Red Flag Warning was issued Saturday due to high wings and dry conditions. Most customers affected should have power restored by tonight with some outages potentially going into tomorrow.
