The air quality in the Bay Area is being hailed as the worst in the world. Smoke and haze from the Camp Fire has reached unhealthy to very unhealthy conditions and Purple-Air, an air quality monitoring app, was showing the region’s air quality as the worst in the world. The air is so bad that the Bay Area Air Quality Management District extended a Winter Spare The Air alert through Tuesday. A low pressure weather system should arrive early next week, bringing rain and decreasing the amount of smoke in the air.
