Thousands of Kaiser Permanente mental health workers statewide are beginning a five-day strike. Throughout the week, they will picket at several medical centers, including facilities in Santa Rosa, San Francisco, Santa Clara and San Jose. The workers are asking the company to increase staffing and resources for mental health services. Kaiser officials say hospitals and medical offices will remain open during the strike.
