A Windsor councilman says a performance review that lasted several months is what preceded the Town manager abruptly leaving his post last week.

In an interview with the Press Democrat, councilman Sam Salmon said it started as a standard evaluation of John Janson as town manager that turned into a multi-session performance review. The council voiced their concerns for his leadership. Janson’s resignation was announced on Wednesday last week and his last day on the job was Thursday. This comes on the heels of the resignation of Camille Kazarian as assistant manager and administrative services director.
