A 35-year old female was arrested at Hopmonk Tavern in Sebastopol Saturday night after police managed to thwart an attempted suicide by cop.
The suspect was approached by police in the parking lot and a physical struggle with one officer ensued during which the suspect produced what appeared to be a black handgun. The officer managed to disarm her and it was later determined the gun was a BB Gun. The subject was arrested for criminal threats, resisting a peace officer, and brandishing a replica firearm. It was afterwards determined that her intention was to induce a “suicide by cop”.
