Sonoma County Supervisors have agreed to sell the site of the old county Water Agency on West College Ave. to a developer looking to create 200 rental apartments by 2022.

The sale to USA Properties based in Roseville will seek at least 168 apartments from 1 to 3 bedrooms, including 59 affordable units. Being inside the City of Santa Rosa, the plan would have to go through the city planning process. On top of this, the board also approved nearly 5 million dollars of federal funds to help build 173 rental units and more than 60 single-family homes across the county.
