The National Weather Service is issuing a blizzard warning and avalanche watch across much of the Sierras and Lake Tahoe. Both were announced late yesterday afternoon, and will remain in effect through Friday, and travel will be extremely dangerous and not advised. The weather service says periods of white-out conditions are possible through tomorrow night. Meanwhile, dangerous and potentially life-threatening blizzard conditions are forecast above seven-thousand feet, with high avalanche danger throughout the region.
