The body of an emergency medical pilot who died in a helicopter crash in the Midwest is now home in Santa Rosa. A USO honor guard and over a dozen Santa Rosa police officers and firefighters saluted Jennifer Topper’s mother as she disembarked the plane with her daughter’s remains yesterday at San Francisco Airport. Topper, a Piner High School graduate and former Navy rescue swimmer, died last month while flying to pick up a medical patient in Ohio during a snowstorm.
