The Sausalito City Council is declaring a local emergency in response to a mudslide. Last week’s mudslide above Sausalito Boulevard destroyed three homes and left seven others red-tagged. It also left a woman inside a duplex carried by the slide hospitalized with minor injuries. By ratifying a local emergency declaration yesterday, the city is eligible to seek reimbursement from the state and/or federal government for costs associated with the damage.
