Melanie Morgan

Melanie Morgan is an award-winning radio talk show host, author, columnist, journalist, TV anchor, and reporter. Known for her advocacy on behalf of the American military and defense of the War on Terror, and a conservative perspective, she has been a frequent guest on many cable TV shows, including Fox News, CNN and the BBC.

Melanie is the News Director and host of Sonoma County's Morning News. Melanie has been a host on KSFO. For almost 15 years, Melanie was co-host of the highly-rated Lee Rodgers and Melanie Morgan show in San Francisco and also served as a reporter for KGO-TV in San Francisco. In 2009, Talk Radio Network tapped her to be co-anchor of the network’s morning show, America's Morning News, which debuted on June 15, 2009. This program was managed by the Washington Times. Melanie returned to California in 2010 and her newest venture is helping to form the nonprofit organization called “International Cold Case Investigators Association,” designed to solve cold cases and track killers who have escaped justice throughout the years.

Melanie is particularly renowned for involvement and activism on behalf of U.S. troops. She began her career reporting on the 1983 Beirut Marine Barracks bombing in Lebanon, where 241 Marines lost their lives. In 2004, she co-founded Move America Forward, the largest pro-troops grassroots organization in the country. Move America Forward, for which Melanie served until recently as Chair, describes itself as a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization committed to supporting America’s efforts to defeat terrorism and supporting the brave men and women of our Armed Forces. While Chair of Move America Forward, Melanie lead a 40-city campaign Heroes for the Holidays Tour to "rally support for the troops and their mission.”

Melanie has traveled to Iraq to interview the troops — including trips up and down the "Highway of Death." Her 2006 report on U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, "Voices of Soldiers," was recognized with an Associated Press Mark Twain Award for Best Live Programming in Iraq. She launched a national caravan to Crawford, Texas, organized 9/11 commemorative events, and lead a drive to send 100s of tons of coffee, cookies, Gatorade, beef jerky and other goodies to our troops. "Troopathon" her pro-troop “webathon” since 2008 has raised over 4 million dollars for care packages for troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. . In January of 2008, Melanie traveled to Kuwait and delivered 225,000 Christmas, Hanukkah and holiday cards to the servicemen and women.

Melanie is co-author of American Mourning, an best seller that tells the stories of American heroism in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
