Christmas shopping begins with Black Friday, trading in “ho ho ho” for “ka ching ching ching” because retailers are hoping to bring in the green and avoid going into the red.  Although Black Friday used to about saving money on Main Street, today it’s about boosting stock values on Wall Street.

It’s the time of the year when Americans eat turkey and watch football to give thanks for…well, apparently turkey and football. Unless, of course, like one of Democracy’s Dads, you kinda had your mouth set for roast Eagle.  But, let’s give thanks…to those who went before us, so we could live free in a Nation that respects the rights of all people…to either take the point or go with the spread!

How do you get falling down drunk responsibly…without falling down?  You may not know how to get around bad conduct responsibly, but Madison Avenue does!  And now, disclaiming thoughtlessness and bad taste is a growth industry.  In fact, it’s the hedge fund of hedonism.
