Maybe if more of us were too stupid to get out of jury duty, the verdict would be more just. And just maybe the reason lady justice wears a blindfold is so that she won’t have to watch us try to avoid jury duty. Been there…done that and I’m telling you…The verdict is in and so is jury duty.

Using a hand held cell phone while driving…illegal. Thinking that people have stopped…insane. Believing it makes you safer…priceless. Six states and Washington DC have said no to handheld phones or texting behind the wheel. Yet, the insurance industry says the mandate to stop hasn’t taken a hack out of the accident count. Why? Let’s see, first you have to get stopped, and warned, and maybe fined…and maybe fined again. But first you have to get stopped…

The customer is now the most important thing to the credit card companies…unless you call in! With new credit card rules, you’d think customer service would improve…you’d think. However, the only thing the banks care about is helping you pay them…not helping you, the customer to get value. And if you’re wondering where they get all that money to pay executive bonuses, just try calling in so you can talk to a representative to get help. Customer service has become an oxymoron which is being handled by their ‘in-house oxymorons.”

Good news…bad words could be making a comeback in broadcasting…because a Federal Appeals Court has ruled that your right to find me offensive cannot include my language. The FCC is being retired from its job as the “Thought Police” and is no longer the exclusive strong arm of the upright and uptight.
