RECIPE: CHICKEN FRIED STEAK
YIELD: 4 PORTIONS
4 EA 5 OZ PORTIONS HARRIS RANCH BEEF STEAK 1 QT AP FLOUR 1.5 TBS GARLIC POWDER 1.5 TBS ONION POWDER 1 TSP PAPRIKA 1 TSP CAYANNE 1 TBS SALT 1 TSP PEPPER 1 QT BUTTERMILK
METHOD: : POUND THE STEAK UNTIL IT IS ¼ IN THICK- MIX ALL OF THE DRY INGREDIENTS, DREDGE THE STEAK IN THE DRY BATTER, THEN DREDGE IN BUTTERMILK- THEN BACK INTO THE DRY BATTER. MAKE SURE IT IS WELL COATED THEN FRY IN EITHER A FRYER AT 325 DEGREES FOR 5 MIN OR IN A PAN WHERE THE OIL COMES UP ABOUT HALF UP THE STEAK THEN TURN AFTER 2 MINUTES. AFTER COOKING PLACE ON PAPER TOWELS TO DRAIN.
