New Giant Star Discovered

At 165 thousand light years from earth, a star has been discovered that is the largest on record. Located in the Large Magellanic Cloud is the giant star, weighing in at a staggering 265 Solar Masses, almost twice as large as the previous record holder. It is believed to have lost some of its mass and may have been as much 320 solar masses at its birth.
