Satchel Paige Inducted Into Baseball Hall of Fame
"On February 9th, 1971, pitching legend Leroy "Satchel" Paige was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Satchel was well known for his fastball, showmanship and the longevity of his playing career, which lasted around 40 years!"

The First Full Length Film Released!
"On February 8th, 1915 the first feature length American film was released to the public. The film, "Birth of a Nation" had a 3 hour running time and ended up being the highest grossing film of its era despite the controvery it stirred up due to some highly offensive scenes."

The Day The Music Died
"On February 3rd, 1959 musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper were killed when their chartered plane crashed just after take off. Poor weather conditions and pilot error were blamed for the tragedy on "the day the music died"."
