Mark grew up in So. Illinois and Stockton. He played Waterpolo in HS and College and swam competitively from the age of 12.
He graduated from Franklin High School in 1969 and did his Pre-pharmacy at Delta College in Stockton and received his AA Degree in 1972. From there he entered the Pharm.D. program at Univ. of the Pacific School of Pharmacy where he focused on Clinical Pharmacy. He graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in 1975.
He went to graduate school at UOP and the NIH (National Institutes of Health) Graduate schools while working for the FDA in Rockville, Md. At FDA he was a Drug Information Specialist developing a more efficient method for collecting, collating and publishing Adverse Drug Reactions reported by doctors and pharmacists from across the US.
Mark then was accepted as a Clinical Pharmacy Resident at the VA Hospital in La Jolla where he worked in ICU, Hematology, Neurology and Outpatient Clinic Departments.
Mark has worked as a Clinical pharmacist, a hospital pharmacist, a nuclear pharmacist, a Hospice pharmacist and he currently practices Integrative and Compounding Pharmacy at Health First Pharmacy in Old Downtown Windsor. He and his wife, Terri, opened Health First! Pharmacy in 2004. They enjoy living in Windsor within walking distance from the Pharmacy. Mark schedules appointments with people who ask him to review their medications, their supplement regimen and their hormone balance. Health First! specializes in compounding the art of customizing medications for people and their doctors to overcome the limitations of mainstream, manufactured drugs.
