Curtiss Kim, Senior Correspondent , The KSRO Morning Show


Curtis KimCurtiss Kim co-anchors the popular KSRO Morning Show with David Wesley Page. Born in the San Joaquin Valley, Kim grew up in Northern Marin County and is a graduate of Novato High School. The broadcaster holds an Associate of Arts Degree from the College of Marin and Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State University.

Kim is a Bay Area broadcast veteran in both radio and television in a career that spans over 35 years. Affiliations include NBC, CBS and CNN. Kim spent 15 years as a radio reporter and correspondent for
KNBR-AM San Francisco then owned by NBC Radio. Some of the stories he covered include the arrest and trial of Patty Hearst, the assassinations of San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor
Harvey Milk and the trial of Mason follower Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, accused of shooting at President Gerald Ford in 1975. Kim as been an anchor and reporter for the award winning North Bay Report produced by Comcast cable for 14-years. His television work also includes almost 11 years at independent KFTY-TV in Santa Rosa as a Reporter and Anchor. Kim has won multiple awards from the Associated Press and the
Radio Television News Directors Association for both feature reporting and hard news coverage. Other awards include two national Telly Awards, the Peninsula Press Club Award and the Western Media Association honor for Best Community News. His North Bay coverage includes floods along the Russian River, John Mark Carr and the unsolved Jenner double murders at Fishhead Beach. Kim continues his popular North Bay Trials reports which started on TV-50 and are now heard on KSRO Radio. The feature highlights the people, places and
events that make the region unique. Kim is an active member of the Asian American Journalist Association and mentors young broadcasters wishing to advance their careers.
