Zialena Winery Celebrates Their 1st Anniversary & Hirsch Vineyards Healdsburg Tasting Room

In this show I ventured to north Sonoma County. The first stop is Zialena winery in Geyserville to see how things went with their first year in business. They make a barrel aged Sauvingnon blanc, and well crafted Zinfandels, and Cabernet Sauvignon. As well as one of my favorites, a field blend called Cappella. Then I revisit my interview with Jasmine Hirsch of Hirsch Vineyards. Their vineyards sit high above the coast line which receive great influence from the cool ocean winds. Davis Hirsch was one of the first to plant vines in the area up above Fort Ross. Their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir receive great accolades as you’ll hear. The location of their winery proved to be a tough place to visit. Since I spoke with Jasmine they have opened a tasting room in Healdsburg in Old Roma Station. It’s a heck of a lot easier to swing by for a tasting.
