Phoenix got off to a hot start against Golden State. The Suns attempted 8 shots, and had 9 points to show for it. Klay Thompson was dialed in early. He played some great defense and nailed three-pointers. The Dubs did a great job forcing the Suns into turnovers. Each team had great rhythm offensively, they were both shooting above 50%. Stephen Curry was up to his usual tricks with 9 points in the opening quarter. Golden State held a 7 point advantage at the end of the first (37-30). The lead quickly doubled to 14 points over Phoenix. Golden State held the Suns without a field goal for almost 3 minutes to open the 2nd. It was a 16-0 run for the Warriors. Bledsoe did his best to keep Phoenix in the game. He was the best player for the Suns and had 15 points midway through the 2nd. David West provided an excellent scoring touch off the bench. He scored 10 points for Golden State. Warriors turned the ball over in the closing minutes of the half. The Suns exploited those turnovers and manufactured a 17-5 run. Klay Thompson led all Warrior players in the first with 16 points. He was also on fire from behind the arc going 4/4. The Dubs relinquished a 21 point lead and led by 9 at the half (66-57).

Bledsoe and Booker continued to be the juggernauts for Phoenix. The Splash Brothers, however, showed why they are the best backcourt in the NBA. They delivered uppercuts to the Suns by way of the three-pointer. The Suns could not blink before the Warriors pushed their lead to 91-67. Golden State’s defense also clamped down and earned redemption for the poor finish to the half. The Dubs passed the 30 assist mark in the 3rd quarter. It marked the 14th game this season in which Golden State had at least 30 assists. Thompson and Curry redeemed their poor performances in the last game against Houston. Curry scored 20 of his 31 points in the 3rd quarter alone. Klay Thompson finished with 26 points on 10-17 shooting. He made 6 three-pointers and missed only one. Durant had a great night as well he finished with 20 points on 7 shots. He is the model of efficiency on both ends of the floor. The 3rd quarter explosion decided the game. The final quarter represented extended garbage time. Phoenix was simply no match for Golden State tonight. Warriors blew out the Suns in a 138-109 victory. The Dubs have gone 106 games without suffering a back to back loss. Golden State returns to action on Monday against the Pacers.
