Officials Believe Overloaded Electrical System was Source of Oakland Fire

Sources say overloaded electrical lines are believed to have caused the fire that killed 36 people at an Oakland warehouse. According to sources familiar with the investigation, the lines were located at the rear of the structure where investigators had focused their attention. An Oakland city councilman said all of the electricity in the artist colony known as the Ghost Ship came through a single meter that was shared with neighboring stereo and mobile phone shops. Additional details from the ATF expected at a press conference at 11 o’clock this morning.
