Rohnert Park police are hoping to tap into the fast-growing number of homes with doorbell and other security cameras. They’re asking residents to voluntarily share the video to help solve crimes. The city’s Investigations Unit says it’s compiling a list of locations with functioning surveillance cameras that also store video and wants to add homes that have cameras facing streets or walkways. They say the list will allow investigators to quickly access the video if a crime occurs nearby.
