Effort to Repurpose a Downtown Warehouse Into Apartment Complex Get Approval

A long-delayed Santa Rosa development project is one big step closer to becoming a reality. The City Council has overruled a previous denial of the DeTurk Winery Village project and gave the proposed 185-unit apartment complex its unanimous approval. Mayor Chris Coursey says the project “checks just about every box that we have to check” in terms of balancing the goals of historic preservation and “what this city needs.”
