Police negotiators talking to gunman Omar Mateen at first weren't sure if the person they had on the phone was actually in the Pulse nightclub, according to audio recordings released Monday, Oct. 31, after a judge ruled they should be made public. She’ll stay in jail: The wife of the Orlando nightclub shooter is remaining in an East Bay jail.  A federal judge in Florida yesterday stayed the release of Noor Salman.  An Oakland federal judge had approved her release today on 500-thousand-dollars bail.  Salman is charged with helping her husband, Omar Mateen, plan and carry out the June attack that killed 49 people and wounded more than 50.  Mateen was killed in a shootout with police.  Salman was arrested at her parents’ East Bay Home late last year.
