Andre Iguodala dropped 24 points and was a pivotal figure in the Dubs win against the Hawks. The Warriors defense was non-existent in the opening frame. Atlanta posted 42 points 19 of which came from Dennis Schroder. Draymond Green and Andre scored 9 points each but Golden State trailed (42-35). In the 2nd quarter, the bench stepped up in a big way for the Dubs. Both Klay Thompson and Draymond Green were forced to sit with 3 fouls. Andre Iguodala, David West, Ian Clark, and Pat McCaw were spectacular. Golden State trailed Atlanta by 15 points in the 2nd quarter. Steph and Klay were nowhere to be found on the offensive end. Curry scored just 7 points, while Thompson failed to score in the 1st half. The bench combined for 41 points in the first half to pull the Dubs within 5 (66-61) of Atlanta. In the 2nd half, Andre Iguodala continued to play hero for the Warriors. Unlike the 1st half, Steph and Klay joined the scoring. Golden State took the lead for good as Steph drained a three-pointer to put the Warriors up 2 (72-70). The Bay’s team registered 7 made trey’s in the 3rd to take a (94-90) lead into the 4th quarter. Curry continued to bludgeon Atlanta along with Iggy as the Warriors dropped the Hawks 119-111. At the final horn the bench scored 55 points, 24 came from Andre. If the Warriors are to continue their success the great bench play must continue. Tonight was an encouraging sign, not to mention it looks like Steph has returned to form. Golden State returns home on Wednesday to take on the Celtics at 7:30 PM.

Stars of the Night: Andre Iguodala 24 points, 4-6 on three’s, 8-11 on free throws. Steph Curry 24 points, 9 assists, 6 of 15 on three’s.
