Sonoma County healthcare officials are warning that the repeal of Obamacare could affect as many as 150-thousand people in the area. Local officials believe that the replacement plan introduced yesterday by House Republicans could lead to the loss of coverage or sharp benefit cuts. It could also cost thousands of jobs and as much as 200-million dollars in economic losses. The director of Sonoma County Health Services said funding Medicaid through state block grants would essentially shift the financial responsibility to states and counties.
